Fires lit for peace

Norway liting "Varder" to bring peace

All over Norway there will be fires lit for the sake of peace, all at montain tops. 1000 year ago the vikings communicated by these signs to warn abour danger from outside, today we will signal for peace to the world. More than 1000 sites have been prepared in more than 500 communities, and it streches from the south to the north of the contry. All will be lit at 05:00 p.m. at the 31 December and the fire will go on until past midnight. The norwegian King Harald will be liting the biggest one in Oslo at Frognerseteren.

These "Varder" as its called will light the hope for peace in all communities around in Norway and bring a message to Humanity; we care about our planet and will be working for peace to all.
