On 11. September the terror hit New York. An NGO Conference at the United Nations were interrupted.  As two planes hit the World Trade Center all personnel and visitors were shipped down to the basement. After the news about Pentagon was hit everybody was ordered to go home.

The closing had to be postponed until the 13. September and it was held at the UNICEF House. Some of the participants did privately go to Times Square on the 12. September and sang Peace Songs at the street corner.
