Project Mine Detection

by Airborne Radar Sounding

More Effective Mine Detection

Scanning for mines from the air will provide a unique map of the locations of the mines.

The map will show live mines, the size of the load and chemicals involved. This will the future tool for the crew that has the job to clear mines from conflicted areas of the world.

The work of People Aid in regards to detecting and destruction of land mines are very good. However the methods that are in use could be much more effective, given information on where the mines are located.

We have through our network been advised that airborne radar sounding can detect and pinpoint exactly where the mines are. We have received a report from Grondmechanica, Delft, the Netherlands.

This technique applied for our purpose may give a map over the location of the landmines.

This again will be very useful for the people who are there to destrruct the mines.

Given the project proves effective we can provide the technique to many countries with the same problem.  Areas with probable mines can be searched and mapped for that purpose.

The pilot project is to take place in Lebanon, to seek out the necessary routines to be able to map current minefields from helicopters.

The items required will be ordered as we know the funding is in place.
