The historic Ottoman-bridge in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Stari Most in Mostar, that was destroyed by artillery in 1993 are being reconstructed.  The destruction ethnically divided the city of Mostar. It is viewed as a key step in the process of Mostar's reunification following the 1992 - 1995 Bosnian war.  UNESCO, the World Bank, the World Monument Fund and the Aga Khan Trust are all involved in the bridge's $ 15.5 million reconstruction, says the director of the reconstruction Mr Rusmir Cisic It is also supported by the governments in Turkey, Italy and Holland.
